Adult Book Club – December 2016

social hourThis month we are not reading a book but will instead have a social hour to debut the 2017 book list! Come meet and mingle with other members to share and receive recommendations for other good books, including those that did not make it onto the list!

The Book Club will meet Monday, December 12th at 6:30-7:30 p.m. OR Thursday, December 15th at 10:30 -11:30 a.m. in the Bigelow Auditorium. Feel free to join either session.

Healthy Holiday Cooking Workshop!

On Tuesday, November 29th, from 6-8 p.m. join cooking instructor Liz Barbour and learn how to plan a healthy menu that can include recipes that are prepared ahead and recipes that can be put together last minute with very little fuss. Fall Fun in the Children’s Room!

Boo!  Spike hopes that everyone loves Halloween as much as she does. She’s ready and wants you to join her in all the festivities. October is filled with all kinds of celebrations and spooky fun in the Children’s Room. On Saturday, October 8th, we’ll be having a Harry Potter Hogwarts Academy Training Camp. Learn how to perform your own magic and play Balloon Quidditch!  On the 11th, we’ll be celebrating Star Wars Reads Day. Dress up as your favorite Star Wars character, make a Yoda puppet, play pin the light saber on Darth Vader, or come see Lego Star Wars: The New Yoda Chronicles.

Oh, and of course, we’re having a Halloween Fun party on the 29th at 2pm. Dress up in your Halloween costume and we’ll supply the games, crafts, stories, and treats. Spike will be waiting for you. Don’t forget to check out our storytime programs, book clubs, art club, STEAM program, as well as our new Baby Art Adventures club. Friends Photography Reception – RESCHEDULED

The Friends’ reception planned for this evening, April 4, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. has been rescheduled to Wednesday, April 6 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with the award ceremony scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
