Joe and Stephanie from Monument Square Music School will be here for music, songs, and dancing (ages 3-6, with a caregiver).
Visit by Clifford the Big Red Dog!
Friday @ 10 AM June 8th
We’re so excited to have Clifford visit us at the library! We’ll read stories, then you’ll get to meet Clifford in person, and even have your picture taken with him! (ages 3-6, with a caregiver)
Summer Reading Kick-Off Event
Saturday, June 16th, 9 AM – 4 PM
Join us for a whole day of family fun as we celebrate the kick-off of our annual participation in the nationwide Summer Reading Program! This summer, we will be celebrating just how much “Libraries Rock!” We’ll have a library scavenger hunt (9:00 – 12:00), face painting (11:00 – 1:00), pizza party (12:00 – 1:30; first-come, first served, while supplies last), and a fun musical performance by Roger Tincknell & Davis Bates (2:30-3:30). Don’t forget to sign up for the summer reading program, so that you can earn prizes and get a free Bruins poster!

Toys & Noise Drop-In Playgroup
Mondays @ 10 AM
Connect with other caregivers while little ones enjoy unstructured developmental playtime, and practice social interaction skills with their peers (ages birth-5, with a caregiver).
Mother Goose on the Loose
Tuesdays @ 10 AM
Join Miss Jennie for an interactive lapsit for babies and young toddlers, birth through age 2. Enjoy stories, songs, rhymes and movement. Older siblings may also come. From 10:25 to 11 am we invite you to stay and socialize with other parents, caregivers and children.
Wednesdays @ 10 AM
Enjoy stories and a fun craft with Ms. Tricia (ages 3-6, with a caregiver).
Fridays @ 10 AM
Read & sing along with Ms.Tricia (ages 2-3, with a caregiver).

BeTween the Lines

Join our book club just for tweens. We’ll chat about this month’s book and enjoy a snack break! This month we’re trying something new by reading Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones and watching the Hayao Miyazaki movie that is based upon it. (For grades 4+. Registration is appreciated.)
“Hooked on Books” Book Club for Intermediate Readers

Are you an intermediate reader who is ready to explore chapter books? Do you like to have fun? Are you “hooked on books?” Then our monthly after-school book club is for you! Each month we will explore a different genre or format. This month, read Tracey West’s Dragon Masters: Rise of the Earth Dragon, then join Kerry for a book talk, a snack and fun activity. (Recommended for intermediate readers)
