Accessibility Services

Access services allow people with disabilities to use all resources within the library, including computers. Our library is fully accessible to people using wheelchairs. For more information about any of these services, please call the Reference desk at 508-624-6992.

Our PC computers are equipped with Ease of Access software under the Accessories Program.  Patrons have access to  Magnifier, Narrator, and On Screen Keyboard.  Magnifier allows users to increase the size of content displayed on the computer monitor.  Narrator reads aloud what’s on the PC screen for patrons with vision loss.  On Screen Keyboard allows patrons to touch the keyboard on the screen monitor instead of typing.  As always, just ask our staff for help.

Large Print Books

We have a approximately 1,300 large print books for adults and young adults located on the Upper Level, across from the computer lab. More large print books are available across the C/W Mars system.

We have a collection of about 500 audiobooks on CD that patrons can play on a CD player or by using a computer drive.

Braille books

Marlborough Public Library is a part of the C/WMars Library System where there are over 600 braille books that can be picked up at the library by placing a hold on an item.

Reading Magnifier

There is also a Telesensory Reading Magnifier in the Reference Room that magnifies the words on a page in the book as you read.

Entrance Ramp

Please use the rear entrance to the library off of Witherbee Street and the parking lot where patrons will find a ramp with railings leading into the library.

Elevator Lift

There is a large elevator lift just inside the Witherbee Street Entrance (where the parking lot is located) for traveling between the upper and lower levels of the library.
