Teacher and Library Partnerships
Teachers, thank you for your interest in working with Marlborough Public Library! We believe teachers are very important and we want to support you and your classroom any way we can. Below is the list of current partnerships, which you can mark in the Teacher Request Form. or send Christine Amatrudo, Teen Librarian, an email. If you have another idea in mind, please let us know!
Class Visits, Book Talks, and Summer Reading Programs
Want us to come to your class? We have taught Mango sessions to help teens learn another language (Whitcomb Middle School), ran workshops on our databases (AMSA), facilitated book discussions (Assabet Valley), promoted Summer Reading/Volunteering (Immaculate Conception) and more!
Floating Collection Program
Want your teens to have access to new fiction/nonfiction books that are not connected to the curriculum? We can drop off new selections every month for you to host in your classroom/school library and have an online check-out system.
Is there a big project coming up? Let us know and we’ll bulk up our collection. If you can send the assignment details, it’ll help us find the appropriate materials needed.
Books Needed for In-Class Projects
Are your students working on a particular topic in class that you would like additional materials on hand for? Let us know and we can drop the books off and pick them up.
Student and Teacher Library Cards
Want your students to have access to the library, all of its materials, databases, and ebooks? We can partner to get them their own library card. If you haven’t yet made a Teacher Library Card, stop by the library today with your pay stub. It’ll grant you 6 week check-outs and no late fines.
